User Stories: Waze Helped Me Get Home

Waze has always been committed to saving you at least five minutes on your daily drive. So it makes us extremely happy when we hear stories like these.Greg from Indianapolis wrote in to share how Waze helped him get home after a a business trip that began in Minneapolis.

I must tell a story...I just returned from a business trip that started in Minneapolis, then on to Indianapolis finally returning home. While there I rented cars twice and each car had a gps unit in it. I won't mention the name but neither unit was worth the power it took to work them. I heard recalculating more times than I care to again and I drove in more circles than anyone should. My traveling companion had another gps app on her iphone which proved to be equally useless and then I turned on WAZE on my iphone and our problems were over. You took me everywhere I needed to go flawlessly and even steered us around obstacles that the other units weren't even aware of. The funniest thing was when you warned us of animal activity on the road up ahead and we found a large veteranary practice on the next block. To say I love you guys would be an understatement. From now on when I travel I'm going to save the $12.95 a day on the gps in the rental car and rely on someone I can count on...WAZE!

Thank you Greg for sharing! We sincerely appreciate your support. How has Waze helped you? Email Eric at to share your story.

  1. I am a Waze user from the Netherlands, regularly coming into the US in the DFW area (Dallas TX). We then rent a car and go to the hotel, to our business seminar etc. We find the traffic situation around the airport rather confusing - signalling is not always clear and there are many ways to get around.
I'm very happy to use Waze to get me around! In the diary of the smartphone, I always put the address of the hotel, so it's easy to pick that destination. During the journey in the bus ot the car rental office the GPS gets its bearings - so we're set to find our most efficient route immediately. Road works, deviations, absence of signage doesn't matter! The same is applicable for the return of the hire car as this is always tricky due to the road works around the airport and of course, we're always at the tight end of the timing to get the plane ;-)

  2. Hello there, I believe your website may be having web browser compatibility issues. When I look at your blog in Safari, it looks fine but when opening in Internet Explorer, it has some overlapping issues. I just wanted to provide you with a quick heads up! Aside from that, excellent website!|
