Waze Updated to Version 3.7.6

Hey Wazers. We've got some good news for you today. We've upgraded to version 3.7.6 (and you should too)! This version features a voice-based search that will help you find addresses and places by speaking as opposed to typing. Just tap the microphone and you're off! You can even use voice search to navigate to your contacts' addresses. This feature is already supported in 45 different languages with plans for more in the future.
This version fully supports devices running iOS7 and contains a redesigned sound menu that will make it easier to get the  voice prompts you want.
We hope you enjoy this new version! Let us know what you think in comments below or on Facebook, Twitter and Google +.

  1. Voice-based reporting of hazards, traffic, etc. is great... when it works. Without a robust data signal the microphone prompt sits spinning its wheels in the "wait" state. It's far faster to simply do what I have been doing and report with the buttons.

I'm in central Ohio, southeastern side. Sprint 3G coverage is sometimes weak and spotty, with occasional forays into 4G LTE. The only time voice-based reporting has worked was with a good 4G LTE connection. Every other time I tried to use it resulted in too long of a wait, which could cause inaccurately reported hazards.

  2. The mic is new? Hasn't it been there?

  3. The icon showing me needs to be more focused on my actual location as opposed to keeping me on route. I get placed on the HOV while on the highway and it gives me inaccurate commute times and is quite annoying.

  6. Great app! Long time user! Love the integration of the voice based search. I just hope the major issues with integration with the appradio can be resolved. Newest version is barely usable in regards to in car use.

  8. I am not too fancy using voice seach. It must be good too. I would suggest to create feature on grouping up my long list of favorite will be very much appreciated. Perhaps listing my favorites in distance near to current location.

  9. ENHANCEMENT REQUEST: I love this app and use it every day during my 45 minute commute to and from work. One thing that I have noticed in the recent update is that the police notification has changed from 1.5 to .5 miles. If there is a radar or laser trap, .5 miles is not sufficient. Many of my co-workers have relayed similar frustration with the change. Can this either be changed back or an option added to the settings to control the distance of notifications?

I really hope this comment finds someone on the support team. Thank you!

  10. The new version annoyingly removes the ability to shut off automatic navigation to frequently traveled destinations. Change it back.

Voice reporting remains woefully inadequate. On the Galaxy S3 it works about 30pct of the time. It simply cannot properly mute existing audio when using the headphone jack to connect to the car's speaker system and doesn't always activate the mic consistently. That causes "couldn't hear you" errors followed by "canceled", often at the prompt to confirm report. This needs a real overhaul because it is very cumbersome to use.

  13. Just one minor beef: folks, if it's raining outside, 1. We probably too are aware of this and 2. It is so unnecessary to report! 47 reports of "hazard. Rain spotted ahead." Yesterday.

  14. Recently upgraded from note 2 to not 3 and then navigation sounds not working normally. Most of the time it just silent.
