Road Goodies are Back For the Holidays!

You wanted more road goodies and in the spirit of the holidays you've got 'em! From December 15 until December 31, Wazers worldwide will have the opportunity to munch down some fantastical, delicious (but fat-free), certified Waze-organic, holiday-themed road treats!
This year, on the map you'll find:
Snowflakes - worth 2 points
Gingerbread men - worth 3 points
and Snowmen - worth 5 points
To "munch" a road goody, just drive over the road goody icon while using Waze.
Of course if you're the kinda Wazer/Wazerette who'd rather not see the goodies, you can always turn them off by going to Settings > Display Settings > Show On Map > Road Goodies Off.
In addition to this year's batch of road goodies, we've added a festive new ETA screen to get you into the mood of the holidays this year.
We hope these Wazey add-ons will bring out some holiday cheer while you're on the road. Enjoy the ETA screen and the road goodies but above all, remember to stay safe out there!
Happy holidays Wazers!

  1. If I munch on a road goodie does that remove it from the map for other wazers as well?

  2. So, I've been wondering. What do these goodies do for me? How do I redeem points and on what. Inquiring minds want to know.

  3. I don't get what Goodies are for. Seems to me like an unneeded distraction for drivers. To turn them off go to Settings -> Display Settings -> Show On Map -> Road Goodies

  4. Are road goodies randomly placed?

  6. If only they were actually on the route and not the side streets around it; On my commute to work I saw at least 50 treats, of which one was actually on my route. Is the implication that I HAVE to drive side streets and not the freeway if I want candies?!

  8. Hi WAZE,

Now, winter has arrived in some parts the world, it's also winter here in Sweden even though we do not have snow (right now) but sometimes we get icy roads ... reporting "slippery road"'s impossible but to report the "oil spill" going well. Seriously! How many times has someone reported the oil spills that danger? Yes, there are certainly some but I think it would be more appreciated if you could report the "slippery road" that can depend on ice, snow and even rain ... I think this change would be more appreciated than being able to report the Oil Spill

  12. Last year I saw the road goodies everywhere, but this year, despite your announcement that they're out there, I have yet to see one anywhere. I have Road Goodies turned on in my settings; any thing else I should check?
